Director of Marketing Channel Operations
After graduating with her bachelor's degree in apparel and textiles as well as a master's degree in business administration, both from Kansas State University, Erin joined the Payless ShoeSource team as a corporate management associate in 2001. During her tenure, she has been promoted to positions of increasing responsibility, first in marketing and merchandised distribution and later in buying. In 2006 she became the buyer for women's casual footwear and traveled to Europe and China to research and develop products.
In 2007 she was promoted to merchandise manager for women's casual footwear, where she developed, planned and executed an assortment of customer options by brand and price point for more than 3,000 stores in the United States and Canada. In 2009 she assumed the same position for accessories and beauty. In 2013 she became the director of merchandise process, overseeing the merchandising track for a major enterprise resource planning implementation at the company. In 2014 she moved into a Strategic Partner serving as the strategic interface with the merchandising and supply chain functional areas developing business technology strategy and solution discovery. In that position, Erin was the link between IT and the business units at all levels including executives.
In early 2017, Erin became the Director of Retail Marketing. In this role, she and her team are responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and tactics for Payless North America. She works closely with Merchandising to ensure the Customer is at the front of all discussions. In late 2017, she became the Director of Marketing Channel Operations. She oversees all Marketing Channels that touch the consumer such as email, direct mail, social, digital and in-store.
