Kelli Farris has joined the Department of Hospitality Management as the student services coordinator. She will serve as the primary academic advisor for undergraduates in the hospitality management program. Additionally, Farris will be teaching HM 011: Orientation to Hospitality Management, and coordinating the Hospitality Management Ambassador activities and white tent events.
Farris earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwest Missouri State University and master’s degree in student affairs and higher education from Indiana State University. She previously worked at Missouri State University in the Office of Student Engagement and at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the Office of Student Involvement. During her time at both Missouri State and UNC Charlotte, Farris worked primarily with developing and supporting co-curricular organizations on campus, leadership programming and event management.
“I am excited to join the K-State family and to work closely with the students and faculty in the Department of Hospitality Management,” Farris said. “Helping students transition to college and persist successfully to commencement is my greatest joy.”
