L’Ecuyer, the daughter of Deanna and Dan L’Ecuyer of Morrowville, Ks., has been active in Union Program Council, iDesign, Human Ecology Council and Student Governing Association.

“An education is never just about getting a diploma for your skills,” she said. “It’s about the friendships and connections made, lessons learned and adventures and opportunities you’d never think you’d have, the moments of reflection and wonder among campus beauty.”

She plans to pursue a career in commercial design with emphasis on workplace and retail design and program research.
