12 seniors earn academic honors

Seniors receiving academic honors will be recognized at the College of Human Ecology’s Graduation Honors and Student Awards Celebration at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, in the Leadership Studies Building on campus.

Awarded summa cum laude honor cords are Anna Cooper, dietetics; Siera Lungren, family studies and human services; Kathryn Gayle Minnix, early childhood education; Chelsea Spencer, family studies and human services; Kari Thiessen, public health nutrition; and Kelli Voelker, family studies and human services.

They will graduate with cumulative grade point average of 3.95 or higher during their academic career at Kansas State University.

Graduating magna cum laude with a 3.850 to 3.949 K-State academic average is Ethan Koochel, athletic training.

Students earning a K-State cumulative grade point average of 3.750 to 3.849 and graduating cum laude are Tyler Brown, hotel and restaurant management; Tami Crow, hotel and restaurant management; Erin Dirks, kinesiology; Alyssa Jones, family studies and human services; and Herrietta Linton, family studies and human services.
