State fair 083 400Despite record-breaking heat, hundreds of state fair goers signed the College of Human Ecology Birthday Banner at K-State Day on Sunday, September 8.

Becca Dale, left, adviser with  Hospitality Management and Dietetics, and Neely Michaelis and Katie Lierz, early childhood education majors, were three of the  faculty and student volunteers at the college display. Among the greeters were Dean John Buckwalter.

Colleges and other units of the university spread out under a tent near Talbot Lake, sharing space with three Big 12 Championship trophies.

The banner, which hung for a year at the entrance to Justin Hall announcing the building expansion, will be available in Hoffman Lounge this week for students to sign to commemorate K-State's 150th birthday.
