FSHS doctoral student awarded Rotary scholarship

Patricia Barros A. Gomes has been awarded a $500 International Graduate Student Scholarship from the Konza and Manhattan Rotary clubs. This annual scholarship is awarded to graduate students based on academic achievement, the benefit of graduate training to their country and financial need.

She is a doctoral student in family studies and human services with an emphasis marriage and family therapy. She is from Brazil.

Rotary is a global organization of business and professional leaders focusing on peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, literacy and economic development. Rotary is close to realizing the worldwide eradication of polio. The International Graduate Student Scholarship is one way that local clubs build goodwill and international understanding.
