Distance education group honors Moxley

Dean Virginia Moxley has received the 2012 Special Recognition Award from the Association of Continuing Higher Education.

Because she was unable to attend the group’s annual conference in November, David Stewart, associate dean of the Division of Continuing Education, with Sue Maes, dean, presented the award at the college’s Spring Forum on Jan. 15 in Justin Hall.

The award honors persons who have provided an important service for continuing higher education.

Stewart commented on the dean’s talent for building collaboration and “seeing the future and helping others see it, too.”
