Nontraditional student honor society inducts 18

Academic excellence has earned 18 Human Ecology students membership to Pinnacle Honor Society, the nontraditional student honor society that has chapters in almost every state .

An induction ceremony took place at the Division of Continuing Education's Honors and Awards Reception May 1 in the K-State Alumni Center.

Inductees from the College of Human Ecology are: Katherine Mossie, junior in family studies and human services; Shaina Maslonka, senior in family studies and human services; Ashley Meek, junior in apparel and textiles; Marcella Newcomer, senior in dietetics; Heather Kahre, junior in family studies and human services; Amanda Roberts, May 2012 bachelor's graduate in hotel and restaurant management; Shannon Berry, senior in dietetics; Nicole Schmalz, senior in dietetics; Stephanie Griffin, senior in family studies and human services; Emily Cozzetto, senior in family studies and human services; Cindy Patierno, senior in dietetics; Stacey Walsemann, senior in dietetics; Jennifer Joyner, senior in dietetics; Michael Engelking, senior in dietetics; Adrienne Kahn, senior in dietetics; Yvonne Roehr, senior in dietetics; Kelly Freno, senior in dietetics, and Karla Heikkinen, senior in dietetics.
