Deb Canter receives Bedford Distinguished Faculty Award

Monday, April 2, 2012

Deb Canter, professor in hospitality management and dietetics, has been presented the $5,000 Bedford Distinguished Faculty Award, given to a faculty member involved in dietetics and food service management who has demonstrated excellence in teaching and research.

Canter plans to use the funds to identify role models in any area of dietetics management and leadership, and make profiles available online for dietetic students to explore the profession and for dietetics faculty members to use in class from anywhere in the world.

She will be working with distance dietetics student Colleen Obrien and Rebecca DeYoung-Daniels, adjunct instructor who teaches Management in Dietetics.
