Naturally Refined: Sustainable Fiber Art Exhibit by Lushan Sarina Sun opens Monday, March 5, in the Kemper Art Gallery, first floor of the Student Union.

The exhibit, which continues through March 23, features Sun’s Master of Science design research project in apparel and textiles.

The exhibit is inspired by Chinese embroidery, Shibori, and natural dye art, Sun said. Shibori is a Japanese term for methods of dying cloth with a pattern using binding, folding, twisting, stitching and compression.

Sherry Haar, associate professor in ATID, is Sun’s adviser. The gallery is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
