Thursday, February 16, 2012

Marianne Swaney-Stueve

Marianne Swaney-Stueve has been named manager of the new K-State Olathe Sensory Analysis and Consumer Research Center, according to Edgar Chambers IV, a university distinguished professor of sensory analysis and consumer behavior and director of the Sensory Analysis Center.

Swaney-Stueve, research assistant professor in human nutrition, has a Ph.D. from the University of Missouri and was a senior consultant with Insights Now, a contract supplier of sensory, marketing research, and statistical services. She conducted sensory and consumer research for more than ten years in the food and fragrance industry and managed the youth research program and the global sensory and consumer insights team at International Flavors and Fragrances Inc.

College of Human Ecology Sensory Analysis Center on the Manhattan campus provides testing services to companies worldwide and maintains satellite centers in Olathe, Kansas, and in Bangkok, Thailand.

“Expansion to the Olathe campus will allow us to expand those capabilities to meet the needs of different industry and consumer segments,” Chambers said.
