Medeiros retires after 11 years at HN helm

Medeiros and bridges students

Students, administrators, professors and staff from around the campus stopped by the Alumni Center this week to wish Denis Medeiros well as he retires as associate dean and head of the department of human nutrition. Among those speaking was Todd Carter, director of research and assessment at Seward Community College, who thanked the professor for his work with Bridges, a program aimed at under-represented minority students who wish to pursue careers in biomedical science and who begin studies at one of three community colleges in the state. A group of Bridges students, above, bid their farewells to Medeiros, center. Janet Finney, Shawna Jordan and Angie Hageman helped put the reception together.
