Phi Kappa Phi initiates 20 CHE students

Twenty College of Human Ecology students are new members of the nation's oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society.

Phi Kappa Phi's new initiates are second semester juniors in the upper 7.5 percent of their class, seniors in the upper 10 percent of their class or outstanding graduate students, also in the top 10 percent of their class.

Spring 2011 initiates are:

  • Rebekah Meitler, master's student in early childhood education
  • Janelle Rice, junior in communication sciences and disorders
  • Jessica Bocquin, senior in dietetics
  • Kelley Nelson, senior in public health nutrition
  • Laura Weiss-Cook, master's student in family studies and human services
  • Jessica Alexander, junior in hotel and restaurant management
  • Melanie Delimont, senior in communication sciences and disorders
  • Allison Morris, junior in family studies and human services
  • Sharon Huckaby, master's student in apparel and textiles-merchandising
  • Nicole De Roche, master's student in gerontology
  • Ronald Sages, doctoral student in personal financial planning
  • Nicholas Carr, doctoral student in personal finance
  • Elisabeth Beam, master's student in family studies and human services
  • Marianne Martin, master's student in personal financial planning
  • Jennifer Putnam, senior in early childhood education
  • Robert Mulligan Jr., master's student in personal financial planning
  • Julie Cumbie, doctoral student in human ecology
  • Brett Coffman, graduate student in doctoral student in financial planning
  • Justin Henegar, doctoral student in financial planning
  • Svetlana Cotelea, master's student in public health nutrition
