Students awarded study abroad scholarships

Scholarships helped eight Human Ecology students finance study abroad experiences this summer and fall.
Awards were Office of International Programs Study Abroad Scholarships, which are supported by the K-State Student Governing Association. The study abroad experiences vary in length from short-term, faculty-led trips; summers abroad; semester-long terms; to visits of up to a year.
Recipients and their destinations include:
- Hannah Garcia, hotel and restaurant management, $650 for Greece;
- Anna Zeiger, nutritional sciences, $1000 for Spain;
- Michelle Beckenbaugh, gerontology, $750 for Denmark;
- Mary Hunt, family studies and human services, $1000for Belgium;
- Brenna Goddard, family studies and human services, $250 for Costa Rica;
- Kristi Mendenhall, family studies and human services, $1000 for Costa Rica;
- Holly Williams, family studies and human services , $300 for Italy; and
- Alison Meyer, nutritional sciences, $400 for Spain.
