Student honor society taps new members

Excellence in leadership, research and scholarship has earned several students from Kansas State University’s College of Human Ecology membership to Kappa Omicron Nu.

The honor society recognizes excellence in family and consumer sciences.

Undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated integrity, high standards of scholarship and the promise of future achievement are invited to join K-State’s chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu. Undergraduate students must have completed 45 semester hours and have a minimum grade point average of at least 3.5. Graduate students must have completed 15 semester hours of graduate work and have a minimum grade point average of 3.7.

New members of Kappa Omicron Nu at K-State include:

Taylor Allen, sophomore in nutritional sciences, Atchison; Lundee Beck, sophomore in communication sciences and disorders, Clay Center; Brittany Imel, junior in public health nutrition, Ford.

From Greater Kansas City: Gregory Tanquary, sophomore in human nutrition, kinesiology and premedicine, Lenexa; Meryl Corbin, junior in interior design, Mission; Casey Hill, sophomore in athletic training, Olathe; Kelly Harrison, sophomore in nutrition and exercise science, Alexandria Ponchur, sophomore in hotel and restaurant management, and Anna Zeiger, sophomore in nutritional sciences and premedicine, all of Overland Park; and Jenna Sutherland, junior in interior design, Stilwell.
