ATID student explains harm of buying fake designer fashion

Erica Boatman, a senior in apparel design and in leadership studies, believes in educating consumers.
“Though my epiphany about the world’s intoxication with the fashion industry’s gray-market goods transpired in Europe, American soil is no less guilty. In fact, we’re one of the worst,” she wrote in an editorial published in Friday’s Collegian headlined “Counterfeit handbags, sunglasses take toll on world business.”
