Sauer earns teaching award

ksauer1.jpg
Kevin Sauer, an instructor in the department of hotel, restaurant,
institution management and dietetics, has been recognized for teaching excellence.

As recipient of the College of Human Ecology’s biennial Myers-Alford Teaching Award, he will be honored at the May commencement ceremony.

The honor, given in even years, was established by Jean and Philip S. Meyers of Madison, Wis.,  to reward outstanding ability in teaching undergraduate and graduate students, and in providing valuable information to colleagues, peers and other practitioners in the field.

Sauer joined K-State in 2004. He earned both a bachelor’s degree in
dietetics and a master’s in food service, hospitality management and
dietetics from K-State. He is now a doctoral student with research
interests in the career paths of dietitians, leadership and management
theory, food service technology and food safety.
