Blue Key selects two

Rachael Barnett and Lauren Luhrs have been selected for membership in Blue Key, a national college senior honor society.

Students are honored for balanced and all-around excellence in scholarship, leadership and service.

Rachael, junior in communication sciences and disorders, has served as chaplain and philanthropy chair of Alpha Xi Delta sorority; Panhellenic Council director of recruitment; head of the Student Alumni Board’s Wildcats Forever committee; operations chair of Leadership Studies and Programs Ambassadors; and director of Wildcat Warm-Up. She is from Hutchinson.

Lauren, senior in human ecology and mass communications, is from Overland Park. She has served as philanthropy and public relations chair for Alpha Delta Pi sorority; secretary for Student Alumni Board; selections chair for Johnson County Ambassadors; and a member of Mortar Board senior honorary, Chimes junior honorary, Silver Key sophomore honorary and Quest freshman honorary. She is a Putnam Scholar and Robert C. Lewis Sophomore Leadership Award winner.
