M.S. in Youth Development Graduate Admissions Process

Students seeking admission will need to:

1. Complete an application for admission to the Kansas State University Graduate School. There is a $40 application fee for graduate school, for domestic students ($55 for international students).
2. Submit two official transcripts of all college work completed to date.
3. Provide three letters of recommendation (Adobe Acrobat).
4. Send a brief resume and a goal statement (previous education and professional experience, plans after completing the degree).

Students should have a 3.0 undergraduate GPA for Graduate School entrance. In some cases, probational admission will be granted to students with a cumulative GPA below 3.0, if the GPA in the last 60 hours is above 3.0. Student must also maintain a 3.0 GPA in their Graduate Program to avoid dismissal from the master's program. KSU does not require GRE scores for admission to the M.S. in Youth Development program. All of the above materials should be returned to:

When all the materials are on file, the graduate committee will act on your request for admission to the Youth Development program and will contact you about their decision. You may receive one of four decisions:

1. full admission,
2. full admission, but you are on a waiting list,
3. conditional admission subject to resolving deficiencies, or
4. admission denied.

Kansas State University currently is accepting applications to begin in the fall and spring semesters. The application process is competitive and a limited number of slots are available to incoming students. In the event that a student is not accepted to our program due to limited space, they should contact one of our partner institutions which offer the same degree program at the same tuition rate.
