Research, Scholarship, and Creative Endeavors

Dr. Ferraro's work focuses on co-parenting after divorce, but his research program more broadly focuses on familial relationships during periods of transition, both structural (divorce, remarriage, reintegration, etc.) and developmental (launching, placement in long term care, etc.). Ferraro has been the principal or co-investigator on numerous first hand data collections, including the Parenting After Divorce project, the Emerging Adult Healthy Relationships Study, and the Successful Co-parenting After Divorce Toolkit and associated study (for which he and his team were recently presented with a Prudential Productivity Award from the state of Florida). Currently, Dr. Ferraro leads the Families in Transition research lab at Kansas State and serves as the Student & New Professional Representative for the Family Policy section of the National Council on Family Relations. Recent publications include:

Personal Information

Anthony and his wife Melissa are proud parents of a one year old boy, Phillip. They love calling Manhattan home, and whether watching the monkeys at Sunset Zoo, taking in the latest exhibit at Flint Hills Discovery Center, hiking Konza Prairie, or going for a dip at Blue Earth Plaza they always find something fun and exciting to do in the Little Apple.
