Enrollment

See Enrollment in the Course Schedule for information about admission, orientation, advising and enrollment for new and readmitted students, and for information about advising and enrollment for continuous students.

Advising is required for enrollment. Once the student has been advised, advisers can clear students for enrollment in one of the following ways:

  • an electronic signature via KATS (Faculty/Staff Menu)
  • an electronic signature via SIS (SSAF)

Electronic signatures are required for KATS enrollment.

Continuing and readmitted students are allowed access to enrollment based on number of credit hours completed. An Enrollment Time Chart is available on the Course Schedule. Students with a delinquency hold by an office within the University (e.g., parking services, library, health center, Dean's Office) connot enroll until the delinquency has been cleared. Students can access KATS to find out what holds are in place and where to clear them.

New students are expected to participate in orientation sessions before enrolling. Orientations are scheduled in June, August and January for new freshmen, and in April, June, August and January for new transfer students.

Once enrolled, students may make schedule changes on their own using KATS or at Enrollment Services through the end of the first week of classes. After the first week of classes, KATS enrollment is closed for the term and all enrollment and drop/add transactions must be completed at Enrollment Services.

Late enrollment (enrollment after the second week of classes) requires dean's permission.
