Dual Majors/Degrees
Dual Degrees
Dual degrees are earned when a student completes the requirements for two bachelor's degrees. See Dual Degrees in the K-State Undergraduate Catalog for statement of University policy.
Dual degrees may be
- two degrees from the College of Human Ecology (e.g. B.S. in Dietetics and B.S. in Human Nutrition)
- degrees from two colleges (e.g., B.S. in Apparel and Textiles and B.S. in Business Administration)
Students enroll in dual degrees by completing a curriculum change. The curriculum change is initiated in the Dean's Office of the College in which the student is enrolled.
Capable students considering dual degrees may want to investigate the possibility of a graduate degree rather than a second bachelor's degree.
Dual Majors
Dual majors are earned when a student completes the requirements for two programs within a specified bachelor's degree (e.g., B.S. in Human Nutrition, with completion of programs in both Nutritional Sciences and in Public Nutrition). Both programs are designated on the student's transcript, but a single diploma is awarded. Students enroll in dual majors by completing a curriculum change in the Dean's Office.
