Instructor, Center on Aging
Position
College of Human Ecology, Kansas State University Center on Aging is seeking an instructor for a term appointment from July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. The position will include instructing at least two undergraduate courses per semester.
Responsibilities
Applicant will be responsible for course development, implementation and assessment and evaluation of course instruction. Instructor will be expected to teach classes in varying formats including face-to-face, online or hybrid classes. In addition to teaching, the applicant will have student advising responsibilities. This position will also involve working with and organization of student files for both present students and alumni of the program.
Qualifications
Required
Strong oral and written communication skills, experience with teaching, ability to work within and meet specific deadlines, ability to communicate and interact with people from a variety of backgrounds and educational levels, Masters degree in gerontology or related field, proficient in internet and scholarly research and in using Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel software.
Preferred
General knowledge of nursing home operations and culture change preferred.
