Short Biography

Following college, Dr. Meredith worked in residential treatment and social service agencies for seven years. He was then employed by the University of Nebraska for 21 years as a faculty member and in administrative roles such as department head, associate dean, and interim dean. He served as the school director of the School of Family Studies and Human Services at Kansas State for ten years. He has received various professional awards including the Carnegie/Case Nebraska Outstanding Professor of the Year, the Nebraska Legislature Distinguished Teaching Award, the NU College Distinguished Scholar Award, the NU Natalie Hahn International Service Award, the NU Margaret Killian Endowment Chair of Human Resources and Family Sciences, and the KSU Presidential Award for Outstanding Department Head.
