Recommended Timetable
Every Semester:
- Enroll in DHE 020, University Honors Program
- Maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Read e-mail messages from the Honors Program Coordinator and University Honors Program Director
- Attend and participate in the diverse scholarly and cultural programs and events the College of Human Ecology, University Honors Program, and Kansas State University offer
Freshman Year:
Choose from the opportunities that interest you:
- Enroll in Honors sections of courses
- Earn course credit by examination
- Register for an academic minor or secondary major
- Begin planning for study abroad or other international experience
Sophomore Year:
Junior Year:
- Enroll in DHE 300 Conducting Honors Research (if not previously enrolled)
- Participate in DHE 102 Honors Practicum experience with a faculty mentor (2 semesters)
- Consider Nationally Competitive Scholarships for which you may be eligible
- Participate in study abroad or other international experience
Senior Year:
- Enroll in appropriate "problems course" for two or three-credit hours for your Honors Project (confirm enrollment with faculty mentor)
- Complete Honors project in consultation with faculty mentor
- Submit completed project to Honors Program Coordinator
- Investigate opportunities for publication or presentation of the project
- Consider Nationally Competitive Scholarships for which you may be eligible
