Undergraduate Programs
The Department of Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design offers undergraduate programs in two areas: Apparel and Textiles and Interior Design. Students learn to use the human ecological framework to make professional and personal decisions that affect two fundamental human needs: clothing and shelter.
Graduate Programs
The Department of Apparel, Textiles, and Interior Design offers graduate programs in apparel and Textiles that focus on design, product development, and marketing of apparel and textiles products. Individual programs of study, capitalizing on the interests and disciplinary backgrounds of students and faculty, are developed to build the theoretical and methodological skills necessary to solve human ecological problems involving apparel and textiles.
Distance Programs
The Department of Apparel, Textiles and Interior Design offers an on-line M.S. in Apparel and Textiles with a specialization in Merchandising. The program is a 36-hour master's degree program, offered through the Great Plains Interactive Distance Education Alliance which has a history of success in distance education. This inter-institutional program draws on the knowledge and expertise of graduate faculty and graduate courses from five universities: Colorado State University, Kansas State University, North Dakota State University, Oklahoma State University, and South Dakota State University.
