11th Annual ATID Student Symposium
The Annual ATID Student Symposium is professional opportunity for prospective and current students to network with alumni and connect with professionals working in the apparel and interior design industries. This year, the symposium focus is "ALWAYS MODERN: Using Design to Connect People, Planet and Profit." The symposium will open with the Showcase of Excellence on April 16 and will continue on April 17 with two keynote speakers, a networking luncheon and other professional development opportunities. We have invited keynote speakers David Bright, KNOLL senior vice president of communications, and Dorothy Cosonas, KnollTextiles and KnollLuxe creative director. Their lecture will highlight global business perspectives and textiles design and manufacturing.
AT498: Showcase of Excellence Event Planning (will count toward a specialization or unrestricted elective) will be offered Spring 2015 in order to plan, manage and execute the Showcase of Excellence. The showcase, in conjunction with the ATID Student Symposium, is the runway and mounted exhibit. The class times are MWF 12:30-1:20 p.m. If interested, please complete the AT498 application form (pdf) and return it to 225 Justin Hall.
