10th Annual ATID Student Symposium
The ATID Student Co-chairs are excited to announce the 10th Annual ATID Student Symposium, Sustainability: How YOU Can Make a Difference, sponsored by the AT and ID advisory boards. The ATID Student Symposium brings accomplished professionals to be featured speakers at Kansas State University and to expose K-State to the significance of the apparel and interior design industries. This year's keynote speaker, Dr. Debra Rowe, will host as part of the ADVANCE Distinguished Lecture Series (ADLS), sponsored by the Office for the Advancement of Women in Science and Engineering (KAWSE). She will be addressing the universal importance of sustainability and why sustainability education matters.
The symposium allows students the opportunity to network with alumni and connect with professionals working in the apparel and interior design industries. An exciting new event at the Symposium this year is the Showcase of Excellence, an exhibit and live runway show featuring work from K-State students, Kansas high school students, and a delegation of faculty and graduate students from Hankyong National University in South Korea.
All K-State students and faculty are welcome to attend the Showcase of Excellence at 7:00 p.m. on May 1, 2014, in the K-State Alumni Center and the keynote speaker presentation at 10:00 a.m. on May 2, 2014, also in the K-State Alumni Center.
