Upon graduation from Kansas State University, Katie enrolled in Oxford University/Oxford Brookes University in England to explore her passion for historic architecture through graduate-level studies. There she learned to design buildings from a conservation viewpoint, and she earned a Master of Science in Historic Conservation. After returning to the states, Katie joined Kahler Slater, a global, award-winning team of "experience designers."
She joined the Business Environments team, a group of creative problem-solvers who work with corporate and developer clients seeking better experiences and environments for themselves and the people they serve. Katie's talents in design, programming and space-fit planning provide valued services to Kahler Slater's clients. In the short time that Katie has been practicing design, she has already worked on more than 50 projects, including two corporate office projects that recently received ASID Wisconsin awards.
