Study Abroad
Studying abroad is an increasingly popular option for students in the Apparel and Textiles Program at Kansas State University. The Office of International Programs, 304 Fairchild Hall, (785) 532-5990, is a good place to start exploring study abroad opportunities.
Information for Apparel and Textile Students
The faculty within the Apparel and Textiles Program encourage students to engage in a study abroad experience as a means to broaden their understanding of the global marketplace and supply chain. Studying abroad provides students with incredible opportunities to engage in life-changing experiences.
- Things students should consider:
- When do you want to study abroad (i.e., during the regular fall or spring semester or during the summer)? Studying abroad in the summer is recommended as your graduation date is least likely to be impacted with this option. If you elect to study abroad during the fall or spring semester, there is a possibility that you will get behind in the sequencing of courses. Therefore, it is very important that you work with your advisor in having course substitutions approved before you begin the study abroad experience. Advisors can also assist students in imparting information about various programs that have provided good experiences for students in the past.
Visit the K-State Study Abroad website for information on programs especially for Apparel and Textile majors.
