Chrissy Zemencik is the owner of the home-based bakery, Cake Loft LLC, in Olathe, KS. Zemencik started Cake Loft in 2018 as a tiny business selling cupcakes out of her mother’s kitchen to friends and family while she was in college. The business was created as a “one day” dream but has grown into a thriving reality over the last six years.

Zemencik specializes in small-batch, high-quality, scratch-made treats for all occasions including custom sugar cookies, gourmet cookies, cupcakes, custom cakes, French macarons, hot chocolate bombs, brownies, cinnamon rolls and more. Over the past six years, Zemencik has worked tirelessly to make connections with organizations, fellow bakers, industry professionals and customers in her community. Her business has helped celebrate countless birthdays, graduations, weddings, anniversaries, showers and “just because” celebrations, as well as over 150 different pop-ups and vendor events.

In addition to running her bakery, Zemencik has shared her gift through educating her community members. She has taught numerous cookie decorating and French macaron classes in the Kansas City area and during the 2022-2023 school year, stepped in as a long-term substitute in the Prostart Program in the Olathe Public School District. Through this position, she worked with 45 students, teaching kitchen safety and sanitation, baking and basic culinary skills. Zemencik continues to work with these students, going back to assist the students with special events each year.

Zemencik received her bachelor’s degree in hospitality management from K-State in 2021.
