Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging Community Benefits Assessments

The Center developed an educational and training program for assisting not-for-profit nursing facilities in transforming from an institutional provider to a community-based services provider. The program development, targeted primarily for small facilities, involved staff and boards of directors of three rural facilities and KAHSA staff. Results were disseminated at state and national conferences, including the opening session of the KAHSA conference, AAHSA, and Gerontological Society of America.
